Coronet Peak is the South Island's most popular ski area for good reason. Diverse terrain, fantastic views and a cosmopolitan ambience create a suberb experience for every level of snow sport enthusiast.
Skiers and boarders flock here to revel in the fantastic winter experience, with just a 25 minute drive from Queenstown and wide rolling terrain, Coronet Peak provides maximum fun for all - from easy beginner slopes to off-piste runs and long groomed trails. Following a multi-million dollar transformation of the base area in 2008, Coronet Peak now has fully upgraded facilities and a massive new snowmaking installation - one of the most sophisticated in the world - which ensures that everyone can get the utmost enjoyment for the longest time possible. Awesome!
Even when the sun goes down, the action never stops. Night skiing, exclusive to Coronet Peak, allows skiers and riders to continue through the twilight hours into the magic of the night on Friday and Saturday nights (mid-July to mid-September) and it's included FREE in all Queenstown packages.
