PRICING Prices published are in New Zealand Dollars and are subject to change. To our best endeavour, prices are correct at time of publishing. Should ground or airline costs increase, you will be required to pay any such increase prior to departure. Prices shown are valid for the following travel periods:

SKI HOSTS Please note that although Ski Hosts will be available at the Ski Express Activity Centres in Queenstown and Methven throughout the validity of this brochure, their availability at resident hosted hotels may vary during June and October.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE Please note your baggage allowance with Air New Zealand is 25kgs. Any excess baggage charges that may apply for overweight or oversized baggage will be at your own cost and responsibility.
DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENTS A deposit of NZ$150 per person (plus the flight arrangements portion of the package if applicable) is required at the time of booking to ensure your booking is held, with the balance due 30 days prior to departure. Should your booking be made within 30 days of departure, full payment is due immediately upon confirmation. Payment of the deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.
DOCUMENTS Travel documents will be issued to you upon your arrival in Resort, excluding Mount Ruapehu. For Mount Ruapehu holidays, issue of travel documents will be, with best endeavours, within 10 days of date of travel.
AMENDMENTS No fees will apply to the first amendment or modification to a confirmed booking (land arrangements only) if made 21 days or more prior to travel. All subsequent amendments and amendments made less than 21 days prior to travel will incur a fee of NZ$50 per booking. Additionally any supplier charges will also be levied . Please note that once ticketed, the flight portion of the itinerary is nonrefundable and non-transferable in the event of amendment.
LATE BOOKINGS Bookings made within 3 days of departure incur an additional charge of NZ$25 per person to cover communication and courier charges. 24 hours notice is required for documentation.
CANCELLATIONS Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice to departure as follows:
More than 30 days prior to departure
= $100 per booking administration fee
30 - 7 days prior to departure
= 25% of booking value or $100 administration fee (whichever is the greater amount)
6 – 2 days prior to departure
= 50% of booking value or $100 administration fee (whichever is the greater amount)
1 day prior to departure or later
= 100% of full booking value.
Additionally any supplier charges will also be levied. Please note that once ticketed, the flight portion of the itinerary is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
REFUNDS Bookings amended, altered or cancelled after travel has commenced do not qualify for any refund in respect of unused parts of the tour. Lift Passes are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and not transferable. Local suppliers including Ski Express staff are not authorised to promise or give refunds.
PASSES All lift passes are non-refundable, including unused lift passes.
TRAVEL INSURANCE Passengers are recommended to ensure that their travel agent arranges comprehensive travel insurance to cover losses that may arise from events such as medical conditions, personal injury, flight diversions or travel delays. Your travel agent will advise you of the policy best suited to your needs.
SNOW CONDITIONS Ski areas provide snow reports indicating conditions at time of compiling. It should be understood that Ski Express cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for snow conditions. No holiday can be cancelled, altered or amended, once the holiday has commenced, on the basis of snow or weather conditions. Note that from time to time one or more ski areas may be closed and some ski areas may open later or close earlier in the season than indicated. This is totally outside the control of Ski Express and is not grounds for any refund.
CHILDREN AND INFANT POLICY To qualify for the infant prices (available on application), infants must be under 2 years of age on the date of return travel. Child prices apply for children 12 years and under.
CONSUMER CLAIMS If you are unhappy about any aspect of your holiday please inform our local representative or Agent immediately, who will do everything possible to resolve the problem on the spot as it may prove difficult to take any effective action upon your return. Any unresolved problems must be brought to our attention within 30 days of travel. No action can be taken or liability accepted for claims received after this period.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Company expressly reserves the right to amend, vary or cancel any itinerary, programme, facility or service for any reason whatsoever, and in particular the Company expressly reserves the right in its absolute discretion to utilize hotels, accommodation, operators or vehicles other than those named in these itineraries. While care is taken in the selection of accommodation and other services, no representation or guarantee is made or given as to the standard, class or fitness for purpose of such accommodation or services. Proceedings for damages for death or personal injury occurring by accident in New Zealand are excluded by the operation of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992 which provides limited statutory entitlements to rehabilitation, treatment and compensation in replacement of common law rights of recovery. In other cases the Company’s liability is limited to loss or damage sustained by the tour participants as a result of its negligence or that of its employees or agents and subject to the limitations imposed by the Carriage of Air Act 1967 and the Carriage of Goods Act 1979. The Company does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions, or default whether negligent or otherwise of those airlines, coach operators, companies, hoteliers or their person providing services in connections with the tour pursuant to a contract between them and the tour participants and over whom the Company has no direct or exclusive control. The Company does not accept liability in contract or in tort for any damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond its control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on its part, including, but not limited to, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, fire, floods, atypical weather conditions, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action. Further, the responsibilities of the air carriers participating in the holiday are limited as specified in their tickets, conditions of contract, conditions of carriage and tariffs. The Company reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any holiday or any booking made for a passenger or decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour, and further shall be under no obligation or liability to any person as a result of any inaccuracy, misdescription or changes to any holiday or its itinerary, or for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air or other transport services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. Baggage and personal effects are at the passenger’s own risk through the holiday and it is the responsibility of the passenger to effect insurance if desired. The land arrangements for each entire holiday as specified in the itineraries represent a complete package of arrangements and an itemisation of costs will not be rendered.
LAW OF CONTRACT This contract is governed in all respects by the law of New Zealand, and any legal actions arising under the contract shall be litigated only in the appropriate court having jurisdiction within that country. Bookings are only accepted on these conditions and responsibilities as outlined. Payment of deposit is deemed to be an acknowledgement of this understanding.
